Askari Jr., better known as Scar, is the main antagonist of Disney's The Lion King franchise.
He is Mufasa's younger brother and arch-rival, as well as the arch-nemesis of both his nephew, Simba, and later grand-nephew, Kion. The former leader of the Lion Guard, his desire to rule Pride Rock drove him to enact a regicidal plot to kill both his older brother and nephew and usurp the throne.
As one of Disney's most infamous villains — made especially notorious for his success in murdering Mufasa — Scar is a primary member of the Disney Villains franchise.
In the original film, he was voiced by Jeremy Irons. In other Disney media, he is voiced by Jim Cummings, who was his second singing voice in the first film (after Jeremy Irons blew out his deep baritone voice at one point). He also voiced Ed.
