Biography[]

Matt Lowe was truly born to be an actor. He spent his childhood in the mountains of East Tennessee, mimicking the voices of his favorite cartoon characters for family and friends. The National Storytelling Festival, held annually in his hometown of Jonesborough, was a formative event in Matt’s creative life; so too were the Sunday afternoons spent listening to homespun tales around the family dinner table.

Matt performed in a variety of plays during his junior high and high school years. During this time, he also found success competing in theatrical tournaments statewide. With the support of his family, friends, and a very influential theater teacher, Matt eventually left the familiar surroundings of the country for the skyline of Chicago, where he studied at the prestigious Theatre School at DePaul University.

It was at DePaul that Matt’s talent developed into skill. Inspired by the legacy of favorite alums such as John C. Reilly, Joe Mantegna, and Karl Malden, Matt thrived in his four years at the competitive conservatory. His notable honors include a scholarship from the Chicago League of Dramatists. He feels forever indebted to the students and devoted faculty members who helped him grow as an artist and a person during these years.

Upon graduation, Matt relocated to Los Angeles. He has enjoyed great commercial success here, as well as roles in film and television, and voice performances in several popular video games.

Matt loves the art of acting and seizes every opportunity to hone his craft. His favorite personal theater credits include Brutus in Julius Caesar, Levin in Anna Karenina, Joe in Some Americans Abroad, and Lucien in The Boys Next Door.
