Jason Mantzoukas (born December 18, 1972) is an American actor and comedian. He provided the voices of Sad Sax Guy and Scabby Grossman on Regular Show and Mr. Ross on Regular Show: The Movie.
Early life[]
Mantzoukas was born on December 18, 1972 in Nahant, Massachusetts, the son of William and Cynthia Mantzoukas. Both of his parents are of Greek descent. Mantzoukas attended college at Middlebury in Vermont. After graduation, Mantzoukas began pursuing a career as a comedic actor, joining the Upright Citizens Brigade Improvisational and Sketch Comedy Training Center in Los Angeles, California. This enabled him to practice, perform and learn at a successful venue.
Career[]
Mantzoukas co-wrote a play with fellow troupe member Jessica St. Clair, with the duo playing a bitter couple in the 2002 stage play I Will Not Apologize. Four years later, they reprised their roles in the sequel, We Used to Go Out. Around this time he also collaborated with Ed Herbstman as "The Mantzoukas Brothers", though they are not related in real life.
Mantzoukas appeared in the 2008 film Baby Mama in a small role. He later landed a recurring role on the FX comedy series The League as Rafi. More recently, Mantzoukas has made appearances on Enlightened, Parks and Recreation and The Dictator.
