Dani Fernandez is a writer, comedian, and actress who is currently writing her contribution for the US edition of The Good Immigrant, a book of essays by respected writers and actors of color. Her work can be seen on just about every popular nerd channel, such as Nerdist, Geek & Sundry, and Screen Junkies; as well as Broadway Video’s Más Mejor. A panelist and moderator at San Diego Comic Con, WonderCon, and Stan Lee’s LA Comic Con, she also writes and performs at The Comedy Store’s Roast Battle, Meltdown’s The Historical and Fictional Roasts, UCB’s Tournament of Nerds, and Cracked.com LIVE. Dani co-hosts the new hit podcast “Nerdificent!" for How Stuff Works’ podcast network, as well as Nerdist’s “Natural Selection" series.

Before Fame[]

She attended the University of Texas-Austin. She began working in cardiac rehabilitation before deciding to pursue a career in comedy.

Trivia[]

She began doing stand up at open mics around Los Angeles near the end of 2013 and her first show was at The Comedy Store in 2014. She hosted at Comic Con in 2014 and 2015 and was a panelist at Comikaze in 2015. She also hosted Cracked's stand up show at The Comedy Palace in San Diego.

Family Life[]

Her family resides in San Diego. She has a dog named Mollie who is frequently pictured on her Instagram.
